Set the scope first

#

Open AEO Insights and check the project, date range, Topics, and Models filters before reading a score. The filters determine which observations belong in the result.

Reports use the collection methodology selected for that reporting series. Raw answer history can include other collection methods, so its row count may differ from the observations included in a metric.

Searchly labels collection methods on individual answers. See Inspect answers before comparing observations collected in different ways.

Visibility and share of voice

#
MetricCalculationWhat to read
VisibilityObservations mentioning a brand ÷ observations included in the report × 100How often that brand appears in the selected question set.
Share of voiceMentions of a brand ÷ mentions of all tracked brands × 100How much of the tracked brand discussion belongs to that brand.

For example, a brand mentioned in 8 of 20 included observations has 40% visibility. If those observations contain 32 mentions across all tracked brands, its 8 mentions give it 25% share of voice.

Several brands can appear in one answer, so their visibility percentages can add up to more than 100%. Share of voice uses the combined tracked mentions as its denominator.

Average position

#

Average position is the mean recorded position of a brand in observations where that brand is mentioned. Lower values mean the brand appears earlier among the detected brands.

Missing mentions do not receive an artificial last-place rank. Read average position alongside visibility: a brand can rank early in a few answers while appearing infrequently overall.

Open the relevant answers to see how the model presented the brands. The recorded position is about the answer's brand order, not a Google search ranking.

Sentiment

#

Sentiment summarizes scored mentions of your brand. The displayed score averages the available mention scores.

Searchly groups scores of 60 or above as positive and 40 or below as negative. Scores between those thresholds count as neutral. Mentions without a sentiment score do not enter that breakdown.

Read the underlying text before acting on a sentiment result. A score or theme helps you find a passage to investigate; the passage shows what the answer said.

Missing data and period changes

#

A measured 0% means the observations included in the selected report contain no matching mentions. A blank or unavailable result means Searchly cannot show a measurement for that scope. If a period has no observations, widen the dates or clear filters.

Period comparisons use the immediately preceding date window. For percentage metrics, the displayed difference is the subtraction of the two percentages. A move from 20% to 25% is a gain of 5 percentage points.

Keep the prompts, tracked competitors, models, and collection context consistent when you use a change to judge progress. Open answer details to check the evidence behind the movement.
