What a topic does
#A topic groups related prompts in your project. Use topics for a product category, service, audience, or problem you want to track separately.
Choose labels you can recognize in a report. Keep questions about the same subject together, and split them when you need to compare different parts of the business.
Creating a topic does not add prompts to it. Assign prompts when you add them, import them, or change their topic in Prompts.
Add a topic
#- Open Prompts.
- Choose the Topics tab.
- Select Add topic.
- Enter the topic name and select Add.
The Topics view shows the prompt count for each topic. Use those counts to find empty topics or check whether you assigned the questions you intended.
Read results by topic
#In Prompts, use the Topics filter on the Tracked tab, or the Topic filter at the start of the toolbar on the Suggested and Archived tabs, to narrow the prompt list. In AEO Insights, open the Topics filter and select the subjects you want to include.
The Topics tab in AEO Insights shows how prompts and visibility are distributed across topics. Compare topics with the same date range and model selection so the comparison reflects the question set you intended.
To investigate a weak result, filter to that topic and read the individual answers. Inspect answers explains where to find them.
Delete a topic
#In Prompts, open the Topics tab and select the remove control beside the topic. Read the confirmation before choosing Delete topic.
Deleting a topic leaves its prompts uncategorized. The prompts remain, but the topic itself is permanently removed.
If you still need the questions grouped, change their topic assignments before deleting the old category.
