Open the Sources report

#

Open AEO Insights and choose Sources. Set the date range, topics, and models before comparing domains or URLs.

Use the Citations filter to narrow source categories such as Owned, Competitor, Earned Media, Social, Institution, PR Wire, or Other. Owned refers to properties classified as your brand's; Competitor refers to domains classified as belonging to tracked competitors.

The report describes links captured in your tracked AI answers. A cited page has not necessarily sent a visitor to your site.

Compare domains and URLs

#

Top Domains shows citation trends by domain. Switch between the line and list views to inspect the trend or compare domain totals.

The All URLs table lists up to 50 of the most-used cited URLs in the selected scope. Search for a URL, or choose Group by Domain to combine the displayed URL rows by website.

Usage counts record captured citations. A URL's usage share is its count divided by the total for the qualifying URLs in that report scope. Grouped domain values combine the rows shown in the table.

Find a citation gap

#

Select Show Gap Analysis in Top Domains or All URLs. Searchly lists competitor domains cited in answers that do not cite your own domain.

Open the source and read the relevant page. Check whether it covers the same topic, audience, and products as your project before treating it as an opportunity.

A gap identifies an observed difference in the selected answers. It does not promise that appearing on that website will make an AI model cite your brand.

Use the source evidence

#

Use cited pages to understand which information appears in the answers: product details, comparisons, definitions, research, or customer examples. Check the source's wording and date before reusing a claim.

When you plan new content, give the writer the relevant customer question and the public sources that support the answer. Content Studio lets you capture sources and review evidence while preparing an article or brief.

To measure visits after publication, connect a traffic source and read Agent Analytics.
