Choose useful questions
#A prompt is a question Searchly uses to collect an AI answer. Write the question a customer would ask, with enough detail to make the result useful.
For example, a comparison question can name the products being compared. A discovery question can describe the customer's needs without naming your brand. Track both when you need to understand those different situations.
Open Prompts to add prompts and review them. The Tracked tab shows tracked questions and their results; the Suggested, Archived, and Topics tabs hold suggestions to review, prompts you stopped tracking, and your topics.
Add prompts
#- Open Prompts.
- Select Add prompts.
- Choose a topic, or leave the prompts Uncategorized.
- Enter one prompt per line.
- Check the count and select Add prompts to save them.
New manually added prompts enter the tracked set. If you reach the project's prompt limit, archive a prompt you no longer need or review the allocation in Settings, under Models (LLMs).
On the Suggested tab, review suggested questions and use Track to add selected prompts to the tracked set. Generate prompts can prepare another set of suggestions; review them before tracking.
Import a CSV
#In Prompts, select Add prompts, choose Upload CSV, and select a CSV file. Searchly reads the first column as the prompt text. A first-row header named prompt, prompts, text, or query is skipped.
Choose the topic for the imported prompts, check the count, and select Add prompts to save them. Put any commas inside a prompt in a quoted CSV field. Duplicate prompt texts within the file are removed during parsing.
The upload assigns one selected topic to the batch. If your file contains several topics, upload separate batches or change the topic assignments afterward.
Archive or restore prompts
#On the Tracked tab, select the prompts you want to stop tracking and choose Archive. On the Archived tab, select prompts and choose Move to Suggested; from the Suggested tab you can track them again. On the Suggested tab, select prompts and choose Track.
Search by prompt text or topic, or use the branded filter to narrow the table before selecting rows. Bulk actions apply to the selected visible rows.
Use the table's topic control to change a prompt's category. See Organize topics for topic setup and deletion behavior.
